| We all had on matching neutral-colored converse shoes and ordered matcha tea to make us feel healthy. It's also now a personal goal of mine to collect the wide range of stickers at Tiny Bubbles Tea Bar. Always take a sticker. Sunsets are my favorite thing. They're colorful and beautiful and the world is seen through a completely different lens, one that can be pink and lavender, or orange and red. The sky is given so much dimension and life, and the birds are happy and people smile. Dusk is my favorite time of day. Watch the sun set. I don't know why sparklers are only popular on special occasions or on the Fourth of July, everybody should carry them around like they do their favorite lip balm. Excitement and laughter is always found around sparks flying off of a metal stick. Carry sparklers wherever you go. Glass elevators are gorgeous. All the mechanics happening above and below can be seen, and happy children with monkey stuffed animals run in and out. Appreciate glass elevators. Tattoo parlors and pubs are scary but they have such a cool vibe and look that you can't help but take a peek. Don't make eye contact with anyone who walks out. Parking garages have the best view. Walk to the top and sit near the stairs. Bring a speaker, snacks, sparklers, and good company and soak in how free you feel. Let your friends take photos of you in the stairwell, smile and pose; then smile and pose some more. Keep clicking. Everything can look good in black and white. Aux cords save lives, create a rap playlist and learn the lyrics to all the songs. Impress everyone. Appreciate purple sunsets, those are rare and beautiful. Take pictures in tunnels after waiting thirty minutes for raspberry mint ice cream. Smile at the bike rider who cycles by and at the couple running through the just-beginning thunderstorm. Window reflections are cool. Watch out for people on the other side of the window who will stare you down. Sorry lady in the blue shirt. Tighten your bag and run through the rain, appreciate the cold water and the smell of mud and dirt. Carry a jacket to dry off. |
While everybody else was in the football stands wearing leis and Hawaiian shirts, I spent my Friday night at Marietta Square with some of my favorite people. (a photo-journal with corresponding descriptions)
